Giving Back

Did you know that before devoting herself to the specialty rental business full time Martha worked as a Social Worker and Counselor in the Wilmington, NC community for 10+ years? At Martha My Dear Rentals, we believe in giving back and have continued to serve others through our business. Booking with us allows us to help others by employing individuals with disabilities, hosting fundraisers + drives at our warehouse and supporting youth through continuous education.

Here are some of the organizations we have paid it forward to over the years...

Glow Academy, Cool Women Hot Jobs

Glow Academy is a public charter school that educates women with diverse backgrounds through middle and high school. It's designed for first generation college students and Martha had the opportunity to talk to these girls about owning a business and as a first generation college student herself. If interested in learning more about this academy and ways to help these students see link:

Dream Big Project/Champions for Compassion

As a partner in the Dream Big project , our Warehouse served as a donation site and helped to collect pillows, blankets, sheets and beds for Wilmington Children in need.

Easter Seals UCP

Supported Employment Program: We believe that work gives one a sense of purpose and that all folks have a basic right to work regardless of a disability. There are opportunities for competitive employment here at our business and in our community.
